Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded onto the front of existing teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of your teeth, and can disguise misalignments, discolorations, gaps, chips and cracks. In order to place the veneers, Dr. Gengo will remove about a ½ millimeter from the tooth’s surface. After we take an impression of the tooth, we will send the impression to a dental laboratory, where your veneer will be processed in about seven to 10 days. Then, you will return to the office and we will place your new veneers and transform your smile!
If you feel like your smile isn’t as white and bright as you would like it to be, our teeth whitening systems are highly effective for lightening your teeth by several shades. We offer both an in-office and a take-home whitening option. Our in-office treatment requires just one visit and takes approximately 30 minutes. For the take-home option, you will wear custom-made trays filled with a bleaching gel for about half an hour each night until you have achieved the shade that you desire. No matter which option you choose, you will love the results! Our systems are much more precise and effective than any over-the-counter whitening gels and strips.
Crowns are caps that are placed over an existing tooth to restore their appearance and function and to protect the tooth from further break down. They are cemented in place and considered a permanent restoration.
A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth. It consists of a replacement tooth that is connected to crowns or the natural teeth on either side of the missing tooth. The bridge is cemented in place . We offer several types of bridges. Dr. Gengo will work with you to determine the best option for your needs.
