TEETH CLEANINGS

Receiving regular teeth cleanings is essential to maintaining your dental and oral health. We recommend adults schedule a cleaning at least twice a year, no matter how thorough your at-home dental hygiene routine. During a cleaning, one of our hygienists will remove plaque, tartar and food buildup from the teeth. During the process, they will check for early signs of decay. A screening is also performed on every patient to look for signs of oral cancer or periodontal disease.
Digital x-rays are a diagnostic tool that we utilize in our office to detect issues not apparent during a visual exam, such as developing decay, impacted teeth or abnormalities . Digital radiography allows immediate view of the x ray and decreases the exposure to radiation significantly to the , Dentures and partials are a great option for restoring the appearance of your smile. We custom-create your dentures based on an impression and accurate measurements of your mouth, jaw and face. This allows us to make sure your dentures fit comfortably in your mouth and that they allow you to chew and speak properly.
Dentures and partial dentures can be utilized to replace teeth and renew your smile. Impressions are taken in the office sent to a lab to process your new appliance.
MDI (Mini Dental Implants) Denture Stabilization is the process of placing small dental implants in a patient’s jaw bone in order to stabilize a patient’s dentures. This procedure is less invasive and more affordable than full-size implants. MDIs generally do not require any incisions and can be completed in about two hours.
An extraction is when we remove a tooth. After the extraction, the patient is given post operative instructions and options for replacing the tooth, which include a partial denture, a bridge or a dental implant.
When a tooth is infected to the point that the infection has reached the nerve, Dr. Gengo will perform a root canal. During a root canal,he will numb the area around the tooth, so that you won’t experience any pain. Then, Dr. Gengo will remove all of the infected nerve tissue from the tooth. After eliminating any remaining bacteria, he will fill and seal the tooth. A filling is then placed in the tooth. It is always recommended, however, that a tooth that has had root canal treatment also have a crown placed on it.
A dental implant is a permanent solution for a missing tooth. The implant is a titanium post that is surgically placed into the bone. After a period of a few months, the post will fuse to the jaw bone, at which point it will be able to serve as a stable, secure foundation for a replacement tooth. We place a crown over the Implant, at which point it will have the appearance and functionality of a real tooth.
